    Visit the Niğde Museum; There are six exhibition halls where Central Anatolian archaeology is presented in chronological order. Most of the exhibits on display are from the excavations conducted in the region.

    See the Niğde Castle; The citadel is surrounded by three walls and set in Niğde’s old city. Its exact construction date is not known, but the Arab-Byzantine texture on the lower walls suggests that the castle was built in the BCE 800s.

    See the Tyana Roman pool; The pool was built in the 2nd century, during the reigns of Trajan and Hadrian. The heated water beneath the pool was carried to the ancient city of Tyana (Kemerhisar) via aqueducts.

    Discover the Gümüşler Monastery; Although the exact date of its construction is unknown, it is believed that the monastery was built between the 8th and 12th centuries. Carved into a large rock mass, the monastery is on­e of the largest in the Cappado­cia Region, and is well preserved and largely intact.

    Check out the Niğde Houses; The traditional Niğde houses are on Kadıoğlu Street and Cullaz Street. The houses here reflect the typical characteristics of traditional Turkish houses in detail.

    Explore the past at Köşk Tumulus; Evidence indicates that Köşk Tumulus (Köşk Höyük) was used as a settlement between BCE 6050-4911.

    Visit the Alaaddin Mosque; Shadows falling between 09.30 and 11.00 in the summer reveal the head of a crowned woman on the east-facing door of the mosque, which was built in 1223. The portrait is indicative of the skill of the architect.

    See the majesty of Aladağlar; The Aladağlar and Bolkar Mountains are popular for mountaineering, trekking and winter sports. The Aladağlar, which have the status of a national park, have facilities operating throughout the year to accommodate all four seasons.

    Find healing in Narlıgöl; The Narlıgöl crater lake, in the middle of the Cappadocia Region, attracts visitors with its stunning views throughout the year.  The thermal waters of the lake are believed to be beneficial for health.

    Taste pide with tahini; The production of pide with tahini, an indispensable flavour of the Niğde region since antiquity, has been ongoing for half a century.
